Allie (Alexandra) Roegiersis a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#97527). She graduated with her Master’s degree in Counseling from Sonoma State University in May 2014 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from University of California, Davis in December 2010. Allie has been working with children with special needs and their families since 2004 and began training at Social Learning Works during her summers home from college. Allie facilitates social groups for all ages and finds gratification in watching the social and emotional growth that occurs in the group setting. She has attended multiple conferences presented by Michelle Garcia Winner including the most recent Social Thinking Provider’s Conference in June 2015 and an Executive Function Conference in January 2017.Allie has a passion for working with children and families and enjoys helping to strengthen relationships, restore balance within the family, and assist each member in building communication skills. She has experience working with behaviorally challenging children and creating behavioral interventions in a wide variety of settings including her office, their homes, at school, and in the community. Allie also works collaboratively with parents to develop parenting skills that will best suit the needs of the child and family. She completed her traineeship at Family Service Agency of Marin where she worked on the Child and Family Trauma Treatment Team for one year.Allie is a first-generation Sibshop facilitator (April 2012) and runs recreational sibling support workshops throughout the school year. Additionally, she provides psychotherapy for siblings to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by these children and families. Allie’s therapeutic style is collaborative and client-centered with an emphasis on building sensible skills to increase stability, strengthen relationships, and enhance overall happiness.
